Beautiful ride near Sidmouth yesterday. So good to be on dry trails and a bike which is finally working properly again!

Your profile says Australia?

Looks a bit more central Europe to me?

Tell us about the Canyon god/bad wink

Only if they were 15% downhills...

It's a nice route, though, and I think slightly more enjoyable for being a bit less scorchio than last year.

Yep, recently(ish) moved to Bavaria from Oz.

I'm not an expert on various bikes, the Canyon is my first full sus bike!

Positives - stable as hell, reliable, climbs way better than I though it would, corners hard, brakes hard, very easy to handle, feels very well developed, I like the looks too
Negatives - I'm still not used to the slow straight ahead steering, original saddle was not great/didn't suit me.

Yes, strong head wind down the Bentley Straight was hard work, lovely once through the Bomb Hole though and it was behind.

Was a good ride despite the hangover, and taking a wrong turn and ending up on a dual carriageway (thankfully very quiet and got off ASAP).

An amazingly warm, sunny 35km loop around Grizedale and Esthwaite in the Lake District yesterday, after a couple of laps of the North Face Trail on Saturday. Lots of great fun bumpy, slabby descents, some ridiculously rocky ascents. Well worth the 4hr drive up through M6 traffic Friday evening!

Took part in my first sportive yesterday.

Only a 25 miler, that is a warm up for majority of you lot on here I'm sure. But it was a bit harder than a 5 mile commute but well enjoyed.

The little one loved the medal anyway ha

London To Southend next for me. Just need to get out and do some miles and hills in prep.

A lovely ride out on Saturday in my old haunt of Epping Forest (fortunately now dried out). I used to know the place like the back of my hand but 20 years passing meant I took a few wrong turns but that adds to the fun, glad to see the awesome single track is still just as much fun.

Anyhow - Top of Pole Hill smile
