Wow, those pics are stunning. Looks perfect weather and brilliant views.
Sullington to Truleigh?! What an utterly brilliant day
30 miles early this morning on the road bike around Storrington and Pulborough and then followed by a ride out on my MTB on the downs.
Started with going up Chantry.......... I'd forgotten how bloody steep that is. Then out to Amberley and back to West Chiltington and finally outskirts of Ashington.
I'm not sure there are many better days in any year
What a great, great day

Sullington to Truleigh?! I found the climb ok but I have to stay seated for grip as I've got road tyres on. The photo after the handlebar one shows the top of the climb looking back down the hill.

Either way, we do live in a great part of the country
A torn Achilles' tendon and the arrival of baby number 2 has meant I haven't been able to do any cycling or running for a couple of months. Got up early this morning and did a quick 20 miles around the north downs before mrs lufbramatt and the mini lufbramatts got up. Feel so much better now. Oh and there were cows.

Not the most impressive pic but I had a huge grin as I took it, this was my first ride on my new bike with new wheels. I have been out of action since March after an operation and physio just gave me the go ahead to go for a short easy spin i.e. 2 or 3 miles. 30kms later I was shattered!!
First time on 28mm tyres as well and they are a bloody revelation, can't see me ever going back to 25 or 23, they felt quick enough but soak up so much road buzz.

Another epic ride on the South Downs again tonight, the weather was simply
Looking back at the top of Chantry Lane
No biking for me for a while, I'm going to miss it
Edited the para re timings, I misread Strava and actually did the drop in 12 seconds which is much closer to my recollection of being a complete passenger on the way down

I was over that way yesterday, did Cissbury, Chanctonbury, Glaseby lane, Kithurst & left off the SDW at the copse of trees, toward Burpham & cut back toward Worthing through Angmering park, popping out by long Furlong. Not ridden for a fortnight, so I'm feeling it today, rode two flat miles to Tesco to buy a baguette & it felt like a bloody sportive.

The handlebar photo looks like the run up to the hill that is absolutely the worst in history on the way up to the downs (down that lane, across the gallops and through a field, turn left towards the hills and BAM..................legs get shot to bits
I think you're talking about Barns Farm Lane? I think the one to the west of Chanctonbury is worse - haven't made it up there without walking yet? It's called Am I f@cking mad on Strava? Barns Farm Lane - https://www.strava.com/segments/1554480 — Barns Farm Hill Climb

The hill I'm referring to is called Sullington Lane Buster which is good when dry and an absolute st (literally) when damp Am I f@cking mad - https://www.strava.com/segments/5154762 — Am I fking mad?
