Where were you, Neil? Looks like a view across the Adur valley?

For some reason it looks a bit like you might have been there in the monochrome olden-days or yester-year and have been subsequently remastered.

Llandegla panorama by Lewis Craik, on Flickr

Four at Llandegla by Lewis Craik, on Flickr

Had a fun day at Llandegla, although it must have been my hardest day on a bike. The weather at home was rubbish, but other than a 5 minute shower, it was glorious in North Wales. Well worth the two hour drive.

How would you rate Llandegla? I'm tempted to go this weekend.

Managed a sneaky midweek lap of Cannock after work, getting a lot more confident on the steep downs, PBs all over the place. Felt good!

The red is harder than Cannock, some bits of it feel more manmade. I really enjoyed myself though.

Got the road bike out yesterday and did a lap of the island, Randonee with a bit of an extension towards the needles and staying on the undercliff road through St Lawrence now it's reopened to bikes (closed to cars forever it appears) 113km 1770m climbing.

Trying to up my climbing all year, so what better way than to use the Bostal more, seeing as I live about 5 minutes from it. Going to ride it every day this week, doesn't have to be up the actual road, could just be a return from somewhere else down it, could zig zag up one of the trails near by. Day 4 so far!
This is Steep Down, near by -

These the views from the top -

Did the Wales in a Day on Saturday. Epic day out, really well organised and my biggest ride to date. Even the Welsh weather played ball and we only got rained on once for about 20 mins.

My ride up San Salvador earlier this week in Mallorca. Hardest climb I've ever done, but totally worth it and I think I now have the bug for these big climbs. Just need to focus on dropping some weight smile

Good work. We did an unsupported ride similar last year and the weather certainly DIDN'T play ball with a 30mph headwind and rain for lots of the day. Still an amazing day out though!

This was our ride. It's safe to assume that no one knows how hilly Wales is until you have cycled across it. There is no flat... anywhere.

That looks like a great route. Although, maybe over 2 days... Good work!

Is this the 'road of death'?

Wanted to do it when I was there but didn't get chance.

Yeah, that's the one. I started a new job there last week as a guide.
