Lovely morning today, so managed a quick blast around the local villages. Would've done more but had to get back for my daughters 2nd birthday party!

Final climb on yesterday’s ride out with my local FB cycling group.

Autumn is fully here now...there is a road somewhere under those leaves...

Good ride yesterday, the leaves made it both slippery and hard to see some of the trails but loads of fun.

Out in SF at the moment. Managed to find a place that hired road bikes. Happy days!
More pics please

I was also over there last week. Unfortunately I didn't find a place which rented road bikes, so I ended up paying $18 for by far the worst thing I have ever ridden. It made a Boris Bike seem like a P5X.

It was still one of the best rides I've ever done, though. Fabulous feeling to ride over the Golden Gate Bridge. And while I was pedalling back, a Red Bull F1 car screamed past me in the opposite direction, hotly pursued by a helicopter...
It's a great ride isn't it! Did it few years back on our honeymoon. My wife was really nervous about cycling on the roads so I hired a tandem for added entertainment. Did the ride up to Sausulito but didn't want to faff about with the ferry back so we cycled. Caught a bunch of roadies up on the climb up the the bridge biggrin By that time they had swapped the cycle path to the other side and it was much quieter, a MASSIVE container ship sailed right underneath us and made us feel very small indeed.

I also cyced across the Golden Gate bridge on honeymoon, but not on a tandem.

Well if we're doing Golden Gate photos then here's mine from 2015 when I cycled up the west coast of the USA from Tijuana to Vancouver.

Saturday morning - a couple of views from the bars...

Took this one as I bounced along the firetrail

And this one just as I parked up

And spotted a cool old Merc Fintail

You know those times when you hear a puncture, and time slows so much you start to think about how far you can keep riding before stopping to fix it?

I could hear a metallic ticking for what seemed like ages before the hissing

Luckily it wasn't far from home, and luckily I didn't try to fix it!

Two days out in a row in the Peak district. Snow, rain, mud, sun, hills, more mud. But good fun,

Saturday my partner had her first proper outing on her new Whyte 901, she has declared herself completely enamoured with it. We did a loop around Langsett in the NE Peaks. Nothing too technical but some good ascent and descent, despite it snowing while we biked!

Herself descending through the snow:

Then today I was on my own for a loop around the East Peaks, near Froggatt. In good weather with dry trails this would be an easy-going route, but the constant sleet and tonnes of slop kept it interesting.

Resulting in this:

Found these today on a route I'd never riden before, on the edge of Hampshire/Surrey border.
