Rode the bike from Eastleigh to Portland at the weekend. The hills across Purbeck and Lulworth were pretty tough especially in the heat.

Well that is a new one to me, never heard of Spanhoe Airfield just been googling it.
The woods have taken back a lot of area but there’s a lot of foundations and remains of various Nissen huts etc as you wonder around. Quite creepy in some ways when you think how these places must have been 70 years ago

Down in France with the family, we’ve done some light riding locally to the campsite but I took the opportunity to go out for a few hours.

Long straight roads smile

I don't have a photo but today was something like this

But with more rain. It was the wettest I've been for a long time.

After a stunning Goodwood supercar breakfast club I took the bike on a meander down to Selsey Bill, Witterings, Bosham and finally Tangmere aviation museum. Unhealthy amount of gravel for the road tyres, many lanes brilliant, others blocked with 4-wheel day trippers.

Did some decent miles today going from the top of Rutland into Northamptonshire

Nice looking bike, but leaning it up on the frame tubes makes my teeth itch.

Took an old path today, first time in a few years, found it to be a little bit overgrown...

Old shirt.

A few from last week.... (Fell 4 miles short of 200 last week. I'm rounding up!)

Steak & haggis pie and fudge donut in Stirling... (dunno why it's sideways)

Dukes Pass...

I was in Fort William for the weekend, but instead of going to the Downhill World Cup I went biking at Laggan Wolftrax trails. Not many options but the upper and lower reds are both excellent trails with rocks, drops, jumps and flow. And slabs!

I hit a couple of black lines that genuinely frightened me, but it was all good apart from the couple of punctures...

Aiming for the line down Airs Rock:

Made it!

For £3 to park all day and a full black route (That I did not do) and orange berm and jump route alongside a beginner loop and 8km of lovely red, it is certainly worth a visit.

I was impressed with how well made the whole place is, and the lad in the new Bike Shop was really helpful too.

I think I'm a few years from Air of that rock...Jaysus.

I did that run a few years ago. Your photo doesn't seem to show how steep it really is. I was pooping myself but when I got down the bottom I wanted to do it again and again.
