I would strongly recommend the Panaracer Flataway Kevlar strip.
I would too, used it last on a phil&teds which kept picking thorns, amazing stuff.
I'm just conscious of adding to the rotating mass of the wheel. It was caused by a 1" clout nail. I don't think anything would've stopped it, nor would tubeless have made a difference..

Went for a ride up Guisborough Woods recently. Been wanting to ride this place for a long time as I used to go to uni in the area but couldn’t afford a mountain bike at the time.

Not from today, but over the past few weeks riding in BC. We had a week in Whistler, then did some touristy stuff before visiting Kamloops and also the Sunshine Coast. I just need to find a job there now...

Friday morning, lap of the local trail before work - this pipe is part of the city’s main wastewater system. Ocean outfall at its finest...

My longest ride to date took in the beautiful Tintern Abbey. There are lots of lovely roads near here.

The bikes to light, seconds after the photo a breeze blew it over ...
You think the price of Shimano levers the coating would be a bit tougher .. but I can deal with a wee scratch over a broken bit

We've recently spent a few days in Devon so I had a short exploring ride in the area. In the distance is Woolacombe and the photo was taken on the bridleway heading from from Croyde.

For anyone who knows the area, the ride out of Woolacombe up the road was a bit of a bugger in the heat.

My wife had taken my son to the park whilst I was out, so took a detour in the way home to see them. The little monkey drained my Camelbak, so I couldn't had a drink on the ride home.

First venture into the Yorkshire Dales (on the bike). Beautiful scenery. Then this happened:

Fortunately, I saw the lightning and am currently sat in a restaurant waiting for this whole thing to blow over. thumbup

Did you head out of Woolacombe on the main road or the one out to Morthoe? Both are tough but the one to Morthoe has the nastiest ramp I’ve ever cycled up. I nearly puked when I got to the top.

The main road. I rode about half way up the Morthoe route for the view back over the bay but turned around before the really steep bit.

Smart move. We were staying in a house right at the top of the steep bit so I had no choice but to keep going!

Any hints for MTB routs around that area? I’ll be taking my bike down there later in the year.
