Unless there was a chair to stand on, at this point I would have lost my st.

Still waiting for my new BB to arrive from Germany. PITA getting parts for a bike that has roots in 2013.

Not sure a standing on a chair would have helped - to give it scale, that photo shows maybe around 800mm of the length, the body is about as thick as a man's forearm. But it doesn't matter as its one of the more placid bits of wildlife out here.

Its just that until you've properly eyeballed it and confirmed its not an Eastern Brown or Red-Bellied Black or any other more-vicious critter, getting back out of the way is the priority in my book.

Yesterday’s ride.

Ten miles, five out five back, along a disused railway line.

It follows the river Severn. That’s Appley Park, used to be a school.

This old house hasn’t changed a dot in the last forty years, god knows how long it’s been empty.

Linley Station. This is a poor picture of it tbh, it still had station signs up, this line has been shut since 1963.

Back at the start. This was my first really big ride since I started two weeks ago, it was surprisingly easy, but it was completely flat where as I normally ride on hilly roads.

Any yes, it did fit in the car ( with wheels off ) but a bike rack is my next purchase.

PS. The car is on another disused line the other side of the river.

Took this whilst waiting for the horses to trot past... Trails are really starting to dry nicely now. woohoo

Loving the speed the geometron generates now the trails no longer just gloop.

Totally over biked but what the hell...everyone else is these days.

Gratuitous bike pic.

33 miles today, out past Jodrell bank, waiting for the photos to upload. Was a bit cold for shorts but gorgeous all the same, nice to be back outside and the number of cyclists out was astounding.

Did a cheeky 30 miles today round south Leicestershire, got home and the Wahoo app had defaulted to indoor ride. So no power data or GPS data. Kind of irritated but at least it got the mileage right, I've done that route before and it all matched up.

Not sure how it couldn't calculate power, it's taking data from a Wahoo HRM and Blue SC sensor
