Just packed my gear moving back to Yorkshire and spotted my own Jersey after 2 years of it sitting in a generic kitbag... Keep your eyes peeled Yorkshire!

Yeah thats the one. Im not in short kit yet lol, riding into work is a bit too chilly for it and I cant be arsed to carry a spare set of clothing to work and back. Still in longs untill double figures in the AM lol.

So who was it then???? Dogmersfield to Winchfield, just before the BarleyMow pub?
Possibly me if it was around 5-5.30ish - I certainly passed through on a 20 mile loop. I was in the latest black PH top with the white sleeves with red bands - possibly straining a little at the belly biggrin. Would have been in shorts too with legs in desperate need of some colour - come on sun !

I recall passing someone just before the barley mow - I'm normally right up for shouting out big hellos but seem to recall being a bit muted last night as I wasn't feeling A1 and had to force myself out.

Managed to pull a slow puncture on the inward 5 making it home with a meagre 25psi which made things a little harder and squirmier !

If you ride local then be aware that a cyclist was recently shot with an air rifle as you turn into crondall lane from the A287 - i haven't heard much more about it but it was pointed out to me as a Facebook posting by someone else.

I'm not on Facebook, and can't find any news of this 'shooting' in Crondall. Google throws up something from April 2011 when occupants of a silver Focus shot a cyclist with a "pellet or BB gun" on Bramshill Road near Eversley, and another on Heart Berkshire involving a silver Fiesta in Reading, but no date on that story that I can see.

Any details or links you can share? I often head out or back in via Well and Crondall on long lazy summer loops. Quite worrying searching on Google for "cyclist shot". Doesn't seem to make the national news regularly but there are lots of local stories from all over the country. More common than you might think.

I had a search as it appeared on my FB feed last week, just searched for A287, shot and cyclist and nothing turns up. So it may have been removed. The person who was shot posted it up themselves.

It was posted in Fleet People and then shared to Gearly beloved.

"To all Fleet parents : please take care if you are driving or cycling along Crondall road near the junction with the Odiham road (A287), MY husband was shot at from the tree as he cycled past this afternoon and was hit by an air rifle pellet, resulting in a long trip to A&E."

Thats the post I saw.

There are a few possibilities if it was down by the junction as there are adjacent fields so could be someone out shooting or someone at either the nearby big posh house or the adjacent caravan site.

I won't ride the A287 other than a couple of hundred yards to connect roads on the Crondall side to those on the Fleet side.

Saw a chap in Worplesdon around 4ish perhaps, just starting the climb towards Worplesdon place pub. Gave you a nod as I went the opposite way.

Mentioned this elsewhere. Would have a screengrab from my camera, but it overwrites earlier clips after a couple days so sorry. biggrin

Wednesday (I think) Warren Lane Pyrford

You stopped at the temporary traffic lights going south.

A woman in a Polo then decided to jump the lights coming towards us and you had to duck into the cones to avoid her!

Spotted my first one this morning.

I was parking my bike up at work at the maltings in Ipswich and shouted 'morning... I've got one of those!' at a very confused looking guy.

Sorry about that, I got excited about seeing one out in the wild.

Turning right onto my drive just before the temporary lights in Wythall I spotted a chap coming the other way with a PH jersey around 5pm today.

Headed for the Warks RCC TT sign up maybe?
