tbh no idea where we will go as shes just learning! thinking bit of road bit of woodland path. have a bad back so think sus may be good idea!
Front sus is useful for 'woodland' paths. Takes some of the shock off the wrists/paws. Then the bum suffers...

I've been riding the el cheeps Riverside 120 around, very nice upright 'city' position. Took off the mud-lovin' supplied monstah knobblies and put a pair of equally el cheeps retro-gumwall 28mm Schwalbe Delta Cruiser city tyres on it for £22 quid.

Steel frame/forks has that retro soft ride from yesteryear.

Decathlon do a suspension seat post which will fit the 500, for £15.

I bought a rock rider 520 second hand for £180, off of eBay, virtually brand new and looked liked it’s not even been ridden.

At that price is was a bargain, and really enjoy riding it. It’s heavy but once on the move it’s fine. The Kendra tyres weren’t great and punctured easily, but swapped those out for some maxiss, and I’ve been fine ever since. I used it all through the snow back in March to get to work and never let me down. The bottom bracket recently started making a racket, but a quick clean and regrease and it’s been fine.

The gearing is very close regardless of which front chain ring you use.

Overall, I really like it, and if I’d bought it at full price, I would still be happy.
