She bugged me all week about getting out, trouble is No1 is now an emotional female who you approach with caution, and i needed her to play nicely even if it was sitting in the cafe.

So number 3 daughter had outgrown her 24" bike, been looking for something bigger for ages. Picked this up on Saturday for £90 which I was pleased with... have now spent £150 on stuff to upgrade it biggrin Disc wheels, brakes, new tyres and gears. I will keep my eyes open for some air forks at some point or if I can get a softer spring for these it would be ok for now.
It's taken months to get something either upgraded already or with the potential to upgrade without spending too much on the base bike. This has spent most of it's life sat in a shed I reckon, a few storage chips and perished almost new tyres. Guy selling was a bit gutted as he was hoping for more - they typically seem to sell for 140ish. Lots of weight sat in that chainset, unforturately she wants to keep those gears.

Birthday today.. biggrin She was most pleased by the extra gears!

Turned out alright, will keep my eyes open for some light air forks though.

Birthday and Christmas have seen a few updates

Handlebars, new brakes, new wheels (tubeless) as he had flat spotted the rear one and new rear mech. Only original parts now are the frame a seatpost hehe

Haha, got to love kids!

My next thing is to look for a xs 26" full suss frame. Will use it with these parts and then size up the wheels/cranks as he gets bigger. He bottoms the rear suspension out on this all the time now. No real rush which is handy as they are few and far between!

Yep pretty much hens teeth.
I toyed with the idea of Chinese carbon jobby but i think i'll wait for her to grow into a slightly larger frame unless one turns up. If she gets as tall as No1 child she'll be on a Medium in a year or two.

Bit late but it worked just fine until he got bigger! Picked up a second hand 165mm Rockshox one for it now which works well. 5 Years later and he is still riding it! Now has longer cranks and Maxxis DHF tyres as he kept blowing anything else up!

Looking for something else now, most likely a hardtail like the Nukeproof scout

If anyone is after a 26" full suspension bike for their miniature? My one won't stop growing so I have this now redundant as she's now on a new bike.
