I was hoping to enter this year but never managed to get sorted.
I reckon next year I'll be entering the solo Dusk 'til Dawn event. Looks like it was a great weekend!

Was a lot tougher than I expected, I don't know if it was the lack of traing these last 6 weeks or the constant hills.

I did the 6hr solo, finished 12th with 39 laps (94.89 miles), fastest lap was 7:09.9

Our team of 4 did 178 Laps of which I did 49. My best was 6:25 which was the opening lap. I put in 5 laps under 7 mins but no laps more than 8 mins, so was happy with my consistency!

Very fun event, well organised and good banter in the pit garages. We'll be back next year I am pretty sure.

Right then. Anyone signed up for this years event? I'll be there in a team of 4 again with the guys from work.

I am again (hopefully my knee recovers in time)
This time in a team of 5 as we had one guy pull out already.

My brother in law is going this year. He is doing it solo unsupported and is aiming for 300 miles. Nutter!

Sweet. I'm in a team called 'Torquing the Talk' although not sure which pit garage we are in yet. I guess we can keep track nearer the time to see if there are enough people to warrant an attempt at meeting up!

I'm doing the 6hr with a large group, but in teams of two. I'm also looking forward to riding on the track. I will keep an eye out for some PH jerseys.

As per usual some people in the group haven't registered and I'm fearing that I will end up in a team of four or three and that will be disappointing as I'm not keen on driving 180 miles for an hour and a half on the bike frown

They have until tomorrow to get it done!

It's a really good track. Don't expect it to be super smooth though, it's more concrete in feel than fresh tarmac.

Not like this nutter then. 950kms
Not bad for an ice race driver not a professional cyclist.
Just this weekend good weather but very hot

Just booked EddH and I into the Six hour race, hoping for a top five finish... I think there are a few more of us registering tonight or tomorrow for various races.

it's really not concrete in feel, you need to look out for the off camber after druids but the surface is great for riding bikes on. You'll be cursing the climbs after a few laps though.

I'm in as part of a six man team (Velo City Imps Seniors) There's a bit of a mix in our team so not sure how we'll get on yet. Two of us have done 3500+ miles this year, the rest between a few hundred and next to nothing. I was called in late to replace one who's pulled out.

Looking forward to it now though. It'll be quite different to Rad am ring a few weeks ago.

Indeed it will smile You still on the Cervelo? The 300 meters That I rode your bike for was enough to make buy an entire SRAM Force groupset. Current bike has Ultegra, but I still recon SRAM downshifts are the business smile

I had planned to ride the 24 two years ago had to switch to The Six at the last minute, which went well https://theadventurecapitalist.wordpress.com/2015/...

This year the timing worked out better for me so I'm now in for the solo 24. Not sure I can compete with Julian Rider on a course this lumpy but 400+ miles and a podium finish will be my target. First time riding more than 12 hours without aerobars too so I hope my conditioning is up to it.

What bikes do people have?

Going to try and keep an eye out for everyone.

I'll be on my orange specialized tarmac, probably wearing Ale' jerseys.

We shared a garage with Julian last year when he was riding as a pair. He's a machine. I expect you to put in a sterling effort though Gruffy and will be looking for your name high up in the results!

I'll be riding my Giant Defy Advanced, red hubs and a flouro yellow lid.

Cervelo R5 with a jersey drawn by a child or a PHUK one.

I'll be riding my black Aeroad with fluro stripe, but I will have my Ti Jack in the garage as a spare. I'm not sure yet what kit I'll be wearing. Either a blue/white speedsuit or a black/fluro skin suit, depending on final fuelling strategy.
