More like he can't decide on whether to go upstairs for a lay in with me, or sit and watch terrible TV with MrsVX...

Who needs teeth when you can sleep balanced on a step?

Our dog often does this if one of us is upstairs and the other down. Very diplomatic. smile

I'm taking it as favouritism towards me, as he's hopeless with stairs (goes up on his chin, and his bum overtakes him two or three times on the way down)

Dogs love "dominating the stairs". It's their way of knowing they are in charge of all movements and that nothing happens without their knowledge.
