Subjectively comparing IQ

I was wondering about this the other day - I've had a 60D for ages now and have always seen it as my 'proper' camera but I bought an EOS M and then an M3 last year as a travel camera.

I was in Shanghai and Tokyo recently and was very indecisive over which camera to take, as I wanted to take the best images possible but didn't want to be laden with kit. In the end, convenience and portability won and I went with the M3 and don't regret it.

In fact, on returning home and viewing the images, I'm actually wondering if the M3 is producing better images than the 60D. I seem to have produce more images I'm pleased with when I go out with the M3 but appreciate that this is rather unscientific and could be for loads of reasons.

My question is, is there a way of subjectively gauging which gives the better IQ?

I'm pretty certain the newer DIGIC processor on the M3 makes better JPG images, but I'm shooting RAW so this is less of a concern. The M3 has the higher pixel count but again, I know this isn't the whole story...

Basically, I'm wondering if I should just sell the 60D before it's too old to be worth anything at all or whether it's worth keeping around for any reason.

I don't really shoot sports so don't need millions of AF points or fast burst - in fact, the burst on the 60D isn't that great anyway.

So, is there a resource online that compares one sensor with another or anything like that??

Brilliant! Thank you - that seems to give it pretty comprehensively to the M3...

I sense an EBay auction coming up...
