Looks like he's still going strong!
He is ahead of time currently! Hopefully his buffer will stay with him for the just in case problems.

So quarter of the way there in 19 days! Not long now and he will be heading down to Perth smile

I cycled 11 miles yesterday (with the g/f) to my van which we had left after a meal out the evening before. Unfortunately I had left the van lights on and I had to call a mate to take us back up the coast with my van battery. I need to work on my long distance cycling logistics. I think he has it better sorted.

Somebody has just driven into the back of the support van just outside Melbourne at around 100kmh! Video

Also appears that the person who drove into him along with her mother have been commenting on Mark's Facebook post about the incident and saying she wasn't distracted rolleyes.

fingers crossed for him to avoid any useless tossers on the road after the loss of mike hall in Aus.

Hopefully the follow car will shield him from incident. You have to wonder if he'd have been hit in that accident were it not for the motorhome that took the hit instead.

For those interested:

Still going strong. Today will finish in Nova Scotia, and board a plane to Lisbon for the final leg back to Paris.

Its Day 73 finishing off North America, will leave him six days to get to paris to beat the 80 day target. Going to be a close call, he looks knackered!!

It is an incredible feat that is for sure!

Yes he does look tired, and for that matter are the team. They look to have made a bit of a mistake with the route, so adding time to the journey. At least they can all get some well earned rest on the flight over to Lisbon.

They have started to go with mileage targets rather than time targets for the last leg...which is going to be mentally destroying, but hopefully they can keep Mark strong and help him through the final few days. He has had a few dark days out there on that bike!
