For £320 delivered it seems rude not to.

Recently, quite simply, st loads

Lots of stuff, followed by...

XT 11-42T cassette
11-sp Shimano chain
Blackspire 36T chainring (blue) - will likely be main use
RaceFace 38T chainring (green) - choice matters
XT 11-sp rear mech
Shimano Zee front and rear
Funn riser bar, in blue, to finish things off

That lot is on top of the Fox 34 150mm forks I fitted back in March.
Well, all fitted now, and bike is just about sorted. Had first ride yesterday, and whilst there's a bit to get used to with gear spacing, all was good. 36T chainring is about right for local stuff. Something about wider bars that brings out the hooligan...

Now need a shorter stem and slightly wider front tyre

Don't ask laugh

I was so determined not to spend anything at the Prudential sign up today.

Oh well
Ha ha! It wasn't just me then! Bought exactly the same without even having it on my mind before my mate started having a play.
How are you getting on with them?
They are terrific, I use them for my commute everyday.

I'm using them much more than I thought I would .

How do you find them ?

Replacement brake pads for my hardtail, after bleeding the brakes over the weekend hasn't done anything to improve stopping power. I also ordered a spare set of pads for my full sus, as they are useful to have in the spares box.

A new derailleur, chain and gear cabling for my hardtail because I smashed it off at Cannock Chase. The gearing has never ever been right on that bloody thing no matter what I tried, so it is a good change for me to make sure it is done properly this time. I'm also looking at a new commuter bike, but I don't know what yet.

Due to the hugely massive speeds that i travel at and the equally huge braking forces generated i have fitted some titanium bolts to the discs purely as a safety measure to prevent the standard ones from breaking everytime i call on the vast stopping power at my disposal eek

Some of the above may not be 100% accurate and there is a possibility that i got them just because they were shiny wink

Just bought a Sticky Pod:

http://www.gonebikingmad.co.uk/store/p1/sticky_pod...

I want to clean up the lines of my bike (in readiness for getting a new bike sometime soon) and really hate having a saddle bag under my saddle and a pump fixed to my frame (albeit under my bottle cage) so hopefully, i'll be able to get everything in this and then put it in my jersey.

That looks pretty good actually. At the moment I'm using an old 'trainer sock' stuffed with my pump, tools, patches and CO2 canisters, and shoving that in a jersey pocket. But that's more designed to keep all the kit in one place than anything else. I still keep a saddle bag on each bike, for spares that are specific to each bike.

Note made though, as my birthday is coming up...

I've backed the nicnacpac on Kickstarter after seeing it on road.cc, worth trying for a fiver.

"Eliminates ugly seat bags and their shorts destroying velcro straps:

Does this actually happen? Velcro is around the seat post or underneath the saddle. confused
