The "what bike bits have you just bought" thread Vol 2
Discussion
52t 105 chainring (for more speeds, hoping I dont need a new chain)
Castelli Entrata bibs in 3XL (because apparently I am morbidly obese)
Decathlon socks
Currently eying up the new Ohlins coil shock for my transition patrol.
Still not tried that DHR2 out on the front. Cracked thumb or damaged the ligaments from a crash. riding it this weekend for the first time in a couple of months.

EXT worth a look too if you're looking Ohlins. Castelli Entrata bibs in 3XL (because apparently I am morbidly obese)

Yes jtech offer them with a tune don't they. Only a bit more than the ohlins really. I'll think on itAre they reliable?
My patrol knocks like a bh. Trying a frens float x this weekend hopefully as I think it could be the X2 making the noise. If the float x solves it I'll get a coil

I've never had to touch either except for some weight loss so I needed a lighter spring. They arrived perfect for my bike WRT to damping.
Both been 100 percent reliable and transformative on the druid in relation to ride.
Haven't ridden a recent Ohlins, but ext in a different league to the older stuff.
You get two springs too... For when you're suffering a heavy gravity period

No, 3XL in Castelli just means you'd pass for a human being instead of a twig or drinking straw.I can't buy Castelli at all as there's not enough room on the sizing label to add enough X's for me
Bit of a spending spree over the last few days. I’ve taken to clipless like a duck to water so ordered another set. The pair a bought recently will go on my MTB.
Bought new overshoes (in June FFS) as the weather here in Wales is patchy. Also some lovely new gel mitts.
Finally, another jersey from Fat Lad at the Back, I’m a 50 - 52 chest & in my 50’s so their kit is perfect for me

I've got two. One in my Druid, the other on my Geometron. 2nd was bought from geometron / mojo as their service is superb IME.

Thanks, I think itll be EXT then! Pricey though I've never had to touch either except for some weight loss so I needed a lighter spring. They arrived perfect for my bike WRT to damping.

Will sit on it a fes days. Confident the X2 is making a load of noise.

Gone wireless with GX AXS.
My XT rear mech was knackered so bit the bullet and replaced with the SRAM setup. I like it a lot. Quick, smooth and precise shifting everytime.

At 300 quid for a derailleur I think I'll be going deore next one I break. Got gx axs on both my mtbs and replaced one when I caught it on a rock. Excellent piece of kit otherwise have you bought the optional rocker from the x01? Much nicer
I've gone with the new rockshox coil based on its price compared to the other brands and the fact its got this new fancy bottom out thing. I've had so many problems with fox I decided to avoid them this time round
62.5mm giving my patrol 165mm of travel I think. Hoping It can be increased to 65mm
3 springs to go with it
