Enve really do make nice frames, it is my most comfortable bike currently.
I moved from a Parlee which was incredibly comfortable even with narrower tyres. Despite the seven years difference and bigger tyres in the Enve, there's little improvement in comfort. I'm not saying the Enve isn't comfortable, more how much I took the Parlee's comfort for granted over the past seven years. Mark83 said:

If you don't mind me asking, what Parlee did you move from? I've currently got a Z0 and am thinking of swapping to a Melee so a comparison would be really helpful Not bought, but seriously considering, given the wife's birthday coming up. Sub 9kg (claimed) and sub £1k

I have never owned one, but have had a look at other people's while out riding and been seriously tempted. At that price it is astonishing value for money.https://planetx.co.uk/products/planet-x-pro-carbon...

The bike itself, a slightly left field choice when I was considering Canyon Ultimate / Aeroad, Merida Reacto. Ended up with an ORRO Gold Evo 105. Lovely thing to ride. Acquired a set of Hunt 50's to replace the Prime Doyenne 50's it came with. Also replaced the Deda RHM drop bars with (Toseek ) carbon aero bars and had them professionally installed with the hoses routed correctly. 2X Supercaz bidon holders
Only been on one ride but super happy with it so far.

Nice bike. I’ve also got an Orro Gold with Hunt 50s. It’s a really lovely bike. I’d neglected it somewhat after getting a Canyon Aeroad but rode it again recently when I couldn’t be bothered to sort a puncture on the Canyon and was reminded how well it rides.
Very nice! Lovely paint job on that and of course endorse the Hunts (I do love the noisy free hub on them). Agreed on the comfort. I rode 27 miles out the box and was fresh afterward. The dimensions for me seem about spot on (54 M) @ 5'9". Always an agonising choice for frame size. How do you find the Aeroad? In my head I still need an aero bike

The Aeroad is definitely a much harsher ride than the Orro and has a more aggressive set up, even though the stem on my Orro is pretty slammed. How do you find the Aeroad? In my head I still need an aero bike
I also went a size up on the frame from the recommendation on the Canyon website as I was concerned it would be too extreme and I’m glad I did. I think I’d be spending a lot of time at the sports physio if I’d gone with their recommendation.
That said, I spent six hours on it doing Ride London earlier this year and it was fine. I would definitely have been more comfortable on the Orro though.
On the plus side, the Canyon is definitely quicker and more responsive. And it looks fantastic too. It just makes me smile when I open the garage door and see it sitting there! And that’s what really matters, right?

Interesting. I've read that Canyon size their bikes large and I'd be better going for an S. It just goes to show though that you can read all you want but there's no substitute for actually sitting on the thing, riding it and seeing how it feels. Much like watches, can read 100 reviews from experts but until you put that watch on your wrist you have no idea how it will look / feel. Glad you made the right choice. Aaaahh yea 100%!! I bought the ORRO largely on looks and IMO any bike has to have 50mm carbons or GTFO My riding kit too, all matching so I look cool
One of the boys has an all black Aeroad with 60mm DT SWISS, I look at it and just think WOW what a beautiful piece of sculpture / engineering. One day I'll get myself one!

Get it bought! I originally wanted the black colour scheme but it was out of stock and because I’m impatient, I couldn’t wait so ordered it in the blue instead. I was really pleased when it arrived as it looks much better in the paint than it did in the pictures. Aaaahh yea 100%!! Went into my pals bikeshop to get a couple of tubes of SIS tabs and I came out having ordered one of these.....

I also left without the tablets....probably the shock
As somebody who always said they would never bother with suspension on a gravel bike I'm keen to see how I get on with this.

Nice one, Pablo!
Haha
I popped into a bike shop with a mate when he was visiting me a couple of weeks ago. He had to tear me away from a lovely Stevens gravel bike, that I really don’t need….I was ready to buy it and cycle home. It’ll wait.
I was planning to wait too, at least until after Christmas, but I was far too easily swayed by the discount. Those Stevens look good......you should get one Haha
