I bought some of them. They were made of cheese. Nose bridge snapped after a couple of outings. YMMV of course.three different lenses, pouch, hard case, polishing cloth

I've just bought a set of genuine Field Jackets as I had some Halfords vouchers to use from work... waiting to see how long they last before I lose them/break them/scratch them. I shouldn't be trusted with posh sunnies (hence the purchase of the AliExpress ones previously)
I've also just bought a brace of GP5000 tyres to replace my long-serving GP4000Siis, one of which has just developed a cut in the sidewall after a nasty incident with a pothole. Hoping they're as good as they look - they need to be at £30 apiece.

As a commuter, in all weathers, I'm mildly interested to know how you get on...
Also, as a father of boys who like to get muddy, I'm also a bit interested in a kid option...
I'll do a quick review once tested. Predictably, there's no rain forecast for around ten days in the North West. Also, as a father of boys who like to get muddy, I'm also a bit interested in a kid option...
New 28mm Conti GP4000iis fitted to my summer wheels (Campagnolo Zondas) on the road bike - happy days.
Only done 10km on them so far but does make a noticeable difference to the 25mm Vittorias that came with the bike.
Bike fit tomorrow after which I might treat it to some carbon bars and a carbon seat-post for weight reduction but mostly bling!
Steerer tube will be getting cut down too if we're happy with the stem slammed (I like it but appreciate it might not be optimal!).
Pretty pleased with it, definitely a step forward on my 2014 Team Carbon although the paint seems very prone to chipping!

Stop it. Does that have long legs? Could be just the thing for Mrs B with her year round commuting. Where did you get it?::EDIT:: Found it, it’s a Dirtsuit.

Nice, I've been running a pair of those for 4 years and they are great, haven't needed to do anything to them at all.P9DH said:
Nowt glam... but just ordered a new Saint bottom bracket. £18 from Chain Reaction. Bargain!
Does that have the annoying plastic spacer that the XT bottom bracket has? What makes it even more annoying is that it seems like only Park and Shimano make the tool for them, and they're the same price as the bottom bracket. Will go Hope next time.I've just bought a set of XT brakes, to replace the Deore brakes on my Orange. And a new shifter as it is the wrong I-spec type Deore brakes will be going onto my hardtail to replace the Tekro brakes that are on there.
I'd better dig my cassette tool out and start spannering!
Recent purchases...
9-speed SRAM Cassette and Chain for my Cannondale Backroads, from LBS
11-speed Shimano CS5800 (105) 11-28t Cassette and KMC X11 Chain, plus spare quick-link connector for my Trek Emonda, from Merlin Cycles
I'm struggling to afford bits at the moment, meaning it's "essentials only" really. I had a look at fresh tyres for the road bike, like-for-like replacements for the 25c Conti GP 4000 SIIs fitted. Decathlon had them at £29.99, which seems like a good price, but when it came down to it I didn't feel like I could buy them. I'll probably run the fitted set now until the rubber starts falling off the tyre carcass and the cords show through. I'd love a pair of Conti GP 5000s really, but the cheapest price I could find for a pair was £84 online. Maybe when I've moved house and I've got some of the equity in my sky-rocket, I'll grab a few bits'n'bobs to get the bike ready for RideLondon...

Thank you for the link. I just hope they're still at that low price when I have the funds to buy. Certainly makes sense to buy the GP 5000s at that price, as it's not a great deal more than the outgoing GP 4000S IIs at their cheapest. I don't think I've either read or heard anything negative about the new GP5000 tyres so far, and if they are an improvement on the 4000s then they should be great.https://www.mantel.com/uk/continental-grand-prix-5...
