Yours a medium? DI2? What kinda price?
Back of the queue buster. Its not for sale apparently.
[eyes emoji] I only ready half the thread, got to Rob's post and was interested immediately.

There is the perfect one for sale on ebay at the mo, 9000, DI2, Red, med.........no wheels, £3400. I offered £3k and he turned it down!
That seems pretty steep. The wheels that come with these bikes are £1500-2000, so you're talking £5k+ to get it to "as new" spec.....that's a lot for a 2nd hand bike (with new wheels) when a brand new one with DA is what, just over £6k?

They reynolds are ste really, and if you pay much more than a grand you're a mug IMO. They always on sale somewhere

Could be more clear, I'm not quite sure on your opinion of them hehe

ste by what standards though? ste by fulcrum racing 7's? I doubt it. ste by top end Zipp wheels? Perhaps. ste is quite a strong term, I doubt they're actually THAT bad.

Cheap construction, badly sealed, misweighted out of the box, bad in the wind.

Reynolds use DT Swiss / Industry 9 (DB) hub internals - regarded as some of the best, have decent rim technology - Swirl Lip Generator etc., decent high temperature brake surfaces on their rim brakes, they're not ste.

I certainly would not say they are st, but they do have their quirks (wait until you need to put a tyre on one!) But they are readily available at £1200-1300 most of the time - not £1500+

Out of interest do they fit your SL4 S-Works Tarmac? Clearance on the rear is tight as you know and I am looking for some carbon hoops from my SL4. 24.5-25mm wide rims seem to be ok, more concerned about the midpoint of some carbon wheels say >26.5mm rubbing on the rear stays.

They are st.

Mates of mine who use the bike more than me have gone through multiple sets and seen many issues. They are st in the wind, and the braking is dogst too now I come to think about it.

Sorry, I cant resist - but can I ask why your mates keep buying them if they are so st? I generally dont buy something again if it was st first time round!

My Canyon has proper brakes, so not worried about the braking aspect of them wink

Oh well. They're absolutely fine for me and have had relatively good reviews in the past so Ill just put it down to a matter of opinion.

Cheers.

I saw that one too. It’s overpriced but he’s not budging. He’s also had it a year but it’s never been used. Who does that?

You’re not trying hard enough, trust me ;-). It’s £3650, sorry. It’s one of the perks of having a racing lisence and using it.
