Haven't GCN done a couple of videos on stopping distances, which showed that discs did slow quicker?
That was done on the road, not in a lab.
They found in dry conditions they were basically the same. In wet weather though it became quite significant.

Sorry, 'lab' was probably a little too specific. I've seen their videos and under controlled conditions in set scenarios you can prove anything's better or worse for your own agenda. I really like GCN but they're not impartial. That was done on the road, not in a lab.

What I'm talking about is real world racing situations and judging from what I've seen I really don't think they're anything to worry about in performance terms. I still have concerns about safety but what will be will be, it won't stop me from racing.

...but if you have one person on disk brakes in the front of peloton who gently touches their brakes everyone behind riding rim brakes will die instantly.
Do you have a link for this?!If true, I might have to change my way of thinking - my wife and kids won't be impressed if I burst into flames and die heading into the first corner!
