My cheap Giro bike helmet has a mesh to shop bugs entering the front vents in the helmet.

My Specialized Prevail doesn't.

I had multiple stings on my head about 6 weeks ago when something flew into my lid and it's happened twice since, luckily I've stopped and removed them before further strings.

I'm loathed to go out and buy another helmet just for the mesh.

I see Kask does an Insect Net for the Mojito Cycling Helmet, but surprised there are no other aftermarket suppliers.

I could buy the Kask version and cut to fit but it's not ideal.

Any other ideas?

I bought a few stick-on facial mesh/masks from the US a while back. They adhere to the edge of your helmet. I can’t remember what it was called but I think I still have one in its original packaging. I’ll dig it out and let you know.

Why not wear a cycling cap or just a skull cap instead?

Sweat. Prefer wind on the head.
