Cycled a 120km loop from Alcúdia to Sa Calobra for some lunch via the Coll de sa Batalla. Climbed back up Sa Calobra then descended back to Alcúdia via Pollença. Had a Team Sky train come flying past me coming into Pollença but my legs were gone to even attempt to keep up. Only ever seen the pros from the road side so have them fly past you really showed me their speed.

Weather was both hot and cold. Up in the mountains it was really cold in the shade and the roads held the moisture but warm and dry in the sunshine.

Sounds like an awesome day - keep the reports coming.

Bet the Sky guys absolutely flew by.

Easier today today. 70km loop up to Cap de Formentor.

Bumped into Team Sky again in Alcúdia. Turns out they're staying a few roads down from me.

Last full day tomorrow. Looping out to take in the Femenia and Puig Major and descend back down the Batalla.

I was watching a Col Collective ride on You Tube today that did Gorg Blau and the Col De Femina. Is that the one with the 14km descent down the other side?

Fond memories! But the roads look deserted now compared to spring time.

Nice place to cycle and nice experience with the Team Sky train! They'll be in my neck of the woods at the end of next month for the Volta do Algarve; some very strong Teams are taking part. The Time Trail 2nd Stage is in my neighbourhood, about a 10 min cycle from my house. The rest are relatively close too so I'll go and watch them all.

They were in Tenerife a few months ago and we passed them as we were shuttled up to start our mtb down through the forests. The road was insanely steep, crazy steep. You'd need to be on something to ride such roads competively!
