ebikes are getting expensive so i guess more of a magnet for thieves amazing how quick they were.

Scum, but leaving a bike like that out in the open only protected by an easily cut chain is asking for a scrote to nick it.

Thats near where I work.

To leave any pushbike unattended in public is stupidity, but a £4k ebike is the ultimate in stupidity.

Where are people supposed to leave their bikes. Clearly well chained up in a bike shed with CCTV.

If it was left unlocked or in an unsecure dark place fair enough. What was the owner supposed to do if they were visiting/working there?

I suspect if they found our lightfingered scrats, they would suffer very little inconvenience to their meaningful lives.

From what i read on the original facebook post a month or so ago its a locked car park ... they also cut their way into the carpark where the bike was chained up!

and this video highlights why we need some pro-active policing rather than just after the fact.

Newsflash.. CCTV only works if you can see anything unique. Grey tracksuit wearing average build and faces covered... pretty much pointless.

Use a cheap bike that wouldn't leave them so out of pocket it it got stolen. To leave a £4k bike like that is pure madness, unless they are very rich.
