The "Show off your bike" thread! (Vol 2)
Discussion
OK it's not sexy yet I feel this is probably one of the best bike/bit that I've bought in a long time.
Unsexy aluminium frame and forks. Belt drive and Nexus rear hub with fitted mudguards, rack and fitted lights all from the factory.
I've put on some 800m bars, a road longer stem and this afternoon panniers.
It won't need cleaning. It'll ride 365 days a year. Today I rode it 20miles around Manchester and enjoyed it! The front also is quite poppy for jumping off kerbs etc.
It's the Cube Travel SL.

It’s been a good month for ticking off the list for the collection.
First, I had a message about this stunning, completely original 1997/8 Scott Endorphin. ‘Still on its original tyres and cables’
Then this 2001 Scott Octane DH frame. It was originally the twin shock model but is now minus the linkage Andes one shock. No idea if I’ll ever be able to replace them, but I’ve been after one of these for a couple of years and have never seen another for sale. A guy on IG occasionally posted pictures of it and every time I mentioned ‘if you ever want to sell…’ and then this month he said he did, and it’s on its way from Portugal to hang up next to my 1999 FX-DH (I like late 90s Scotts)
And finally, the real unicorn. Supposedly fewer than 20 of these were made and I’ve never seen another for sale. Trawling through Google search results and old posts, I messaged the current owner from a year-old what’s she worth?’ post. We agreed a price (honestly - significantly more than I had intended to pay but I figured it might be the only opportunity). A friend of mine is collecting it tomorrow and I’m super excited to own it. The plan will be to return to period correct components and put some 4 spoke spinergy rev-x Rox on there then take it to the Malvern Classics to share with fans of not-very-good old oddities.
Geek points available for being able to identify it;
Technically, that completes my collection (20 in total) but in due course I may add a Whyte PRST1 and a couple of road additional road bikes.

That Scott Endorphin was an object of lust back in the day - and the Muddy Fox is the one where the front and rear suspension were connected iirc? A pseudo 'proactive' rear movement as you hit the bump the front had just traversed?
