Nice! I have a M-Trax 1000S which up until recently, I still rode, got it when I was 16 and I'm currently 41. Only laid it up due to a few issues that need sorting on it, you've motivated me to get it working again for the odd ride.

First ride back on this today for at least 6 months. A 2015 Giant Anthem 3 (27.5) which I've had for 7 years/7,015 miles. Not much compared to some of the recent bikes shown on this thread, but nice to get back on it all the same.

Nice to see some smaller brand kit on the bike.

Curious to hear what you think about the ingrid chainset after you ridden it for a while.

I've got a garbaruk cassette and whilst it's a chunk lighter than xtr, and great vfm, it doesn't shift anywhere as nice as shimano.

After 30 plus years of riding and modding MTB and road bikes its a undeniable fact that nothing does.

Not much beats a Giant Anthem for blasting around, even new stuff

New Bike Day. Christmas 1982 re-run but I’m not 12 anymore…lol

Build was easy enough. Wish I’d bought a new cable cutter though.

Will probably be more wall art than a regular rider.

My 2010 model. Literally a ride anywhere bike. Last year I did a 76 mile gravel ride on Salisbury Plain on this, with some 45mm tyres fitted. I don't think I'll ever part with this bike

Never had an Anthem but I do like Giants, had a Trance before and currently a Reign. Great bikes and the value is hard to beat.

Have another then...

As for value being hard to beat? i paid £900 for mine in 2016. Because it was a 2015 model and one of only two left in the UK according to the internet, mine was reduced to £1100, but the shop I used had a price match promise and the other retailer with the same bike in stock had reduced theirs further. Full price would have been £1500. The shop got some of that saving back from me when I bought my road bike from them, though. My Emonda was £2,300 and I paid up quite eagerly, as it was an excellent bike. It was only a few months later that Trek cut the price across the Emonda range. If I'd waited for the price cut (not that I'd have known it was coming) I could have had it for £300 less too.

And another...

Weather finally decent enough to pull it off the turbo and get the new 50mm carbon wheels fitted.
