What a machine!

Great bike to nip to tesco for a pint of milk on as I see you already have the holder for it on the back of the seat ;D

Waited a long time for this bike. First ride out today and it will now have a few mods before I hopefully get some miles on it this summer love
I don't see anything?

Turned up earlier today. Only had time for an hours ride just now but it feels really quick whilst also pretty light for an aero bike.

Managed to average 34.3kph for just under 40km, which is very good going for me. Shame the weather is looking rubbish for the rest of the week.
I really like these - very much considering chopping my tarmac in and getting an Aeroad for my next bike but nothing in stock in a size small until summer, so says the website! How are you finding it? I think I'd defiantly be changing those wheels for something shallower though!

Only managed my second ride on it this morning and in less than ideal blustery conditions, but it really does feel properly fast.

Having said that, it’s the first aero/race bike that I’ve owned. My other bike is a Orro Gold which is much more endurance focused although I do run it with Hunt Carbon 50s so have tried to make it a bit quicker. The Canyon is at least 2kph quicker for the same effort. Appreciate I’m comparing apples and oranges but that’s what the data is saying.

I did borrow a Specialized Aethos for a day last year and whilst it was a lovely bike, it didn’t feel tangibly quicker than my Orro. The Canyon certainly does.

I’ve been surprised how good it’s felt in the crosswinds too. The 62s on the Canyon feel more stable than the Hunt 50s. It picks up and holds speed much better, feels really stiff when you get out of the saddle but isn’t harsh or uncomfortable. It comes tubeless (which is a whole new world for me) so I’m running the rear 10psi lower than the clinchers on my other bike.

The position is definitely a bit more aggressive than I’m used to but not uncomfortably so, although I’m yet to do a really long ride. I went one size up from the Canyon recommendation and am very glad I did. The size down would have been too aggressive for me.

Overall I absolutely delighted with it. The paint looks great, particularly in the sunlight and the spec has no obvious corners cut. And I’m putting in the fastest rides I ever have, despite the weather and road conditions being far from ideal.

After placing the order I did have reservations about whether I had just wasted a big chunk of cash but having ridden it, those fears have completely evaporated.

I think you might be able to tell that I like it!

I feel like a very lucky boy after picking this up:

My second Dolan to go alongside my GXA gravel bike. This 2017 carbon Tuono has ultegra Di2 and Hunt 36 carbon wheels all for the princely sum of £900.

Think I need to change the brake cables but otherwise it's in been well looked after with a new crank, cassette and rear derailleur in the last 18 months. It's not cosmetically perfect but for the price I paid I'm not complaining.

After my first ride I'm at least 10% faster than my gravel bike on the road. Looking forward to the season ahead.

Thanks, got it off Facebook marketplace. Had been on for 8 weeks at double the price, but I'd put it in my saved ads. I find old ads don't necessarily appear in searches very often.

There's definitely more bikes becoming available secondhand. Unless keenly priced they seem to hang around.

Great buy! I’ve been weighing up C2W vs second hand and there are such bargains to be had second hand, plus no faff at all so I too went the second hand route.

I’ve just gone for a bike that was more than I ideally wanted to spend (but hey this is PH isn’t it!) but happy I’ve got a lot for my money. Can’t wait to pick it up.

Oh and talking about pricing things keenly I paid for my new one on Thursday evening and immediately listed my Trek. It was collected Friday afternoon! Maybe should have asked for more!

I went through exactly the same. My C2W scheme is limited to 2k which doesn't go that far these days.

Make sure to post it up when you get it.

New Bike Day! My old commuter is suffering a bit, so I looked for something that would be a bit more my style (drop bars), and could handle some laden touring too.

Both cleaned up, ready to sell. Any recommendations on where best to sell fairly top-end hardtails?

I've got some bikes up on Pinkbike, Singletrack World and FB Marketplace. I've sold parts on all of those platforms before. Worth a try.

Interested to hear if anyone has any more as I'm trying to sell 3 bikes at the moment.

Gumtree, Bikeradar.

I'd be keen to meet away from my house at least initially; I don't like the idea of telling random people exactly where my nice bike-for-sale is kept, along with the n+1s...
The local pub has a car park, is easier to find than my house, and is a short ride away. I may be paranoid, but I also go around the block so I arrive from the "wrong" direction.

Purchased last summer - shamed to say I didn't get it out much over winter, but this weekend should see it out on a trail somewhere
