Hi I need a cheap system for my spin bike I think it has standard pedal spindles 9/16 but will check
Do I need to buy pedals, cleats & shoes?
Is there a one stop shop pack I can buy that has everything? Its a bit confusing for a beginner
I just want something cheap and as it won't be used for road use resilience & mud resistance aren't issues

Cheapest I found in the same situation was basic mountain bike shoes and pedals from Halfords, about £50 total. If it really is indoor training only, would you get away with toestraps (cheaper)? They're Shimano SPD "2 bolt fit" (not SL as discussed below), further 10% off for members of British Cycling.

Cleats usually come with whatever pedals you buy.
For road orientated applicated you'd normally look at SPD-SL types, but for cheapness you can usually get MTB-orientated "SPD" pedals for as little as £15, and then some cheap SPD shoes. I got a pair in Aldi for £20 as a backup pair...
But yeah - toes straps have got to be the cheapest solution. Or just some Sellotape!

Cleats come with the pedals. I'd go with the 2 bolt Shimano SPD system as the pedals are dual sided and easier to clip in and out of. Also easier to find more casual styled shoes with more flexible soles that can be walked in if needed. LOOK or SPD-SL type pedals are more road oriented and the shoes are a nightmare to walk in.

Shimano PD-M520 pedals are cheap and bombproof.

Road shoes are generally stiffer and have pedals with a greater area which helps spread the load, potentially better if you have foot issues.

I would go down the Shimano SPD-SL route, but that's mainly because I already have them on all my bikes.

How about:

and

if they have your size?
