I should be on 7566 now in 3rd.
Stupid error not having the 8 slots filled out whilst doing changes. Annoying after a big scoring day.
Can I appeal to the PH Commissaire to allow my points to be counted at the end

Okay, I’ve accepted my DQ from that stage and loss of points.
Such a shame, it would have been a very tight top 3 for the final stage. I’d have been on at least 12,432 now.
Silly mistake, along with wrong allocation of bonus today also.
Really enjoyed this game again. I wish there was the same for the Giro and Vuelta.

Thought I'd give it a try again this year, adds another dimension to watching Pogacar destroy everyone!https://fantasybytissot.letour.fr/#/game/rankings

I had to make 4 or 5 changes in the first week so I’m playing it a bit safer this time round with TT specialists, may just stick Pog in as captain for the day as he’ll probably get a top 5 position!
If you're undecided, I don't think it's ever a bad choice to select Pog. Who knows what he's likely to do on any given day! Same with van Aert.Second and third stages don't look lumpy enough to drop the pure sprinters so I'll likely be plumping for Jakobsen for those two. He'd better deliver the goods after I bigged him up for the Quickstep slot over Cav on the professional cycling thread.
Is Roglic going to fall off or crack in the final time trial?
I think Pog has a stronger team this year, Rafał Majka looks like he'll be able to offer some support.
I'm not sure about Jakobsen, he doesn't feel like a grand tour sprinter. He was fairly average at the Vuelta.
To stand the best chance of winning the fantasy tour you need to select your riders based on the scoring system, 200 points for a stage win but also 200 points for 10 days in 10th place in the overall standings. Having said that, I'm going for riders I like!

He won 3 stages, came 2nd on 2 more and won the points jersey, not a million years after nearly dying - I'd say he was going ok - not like the Vuelta is really known for having many suitable stages for such riders either.I think Pog has a stronger team this year, Rafa? I don't think Cav is on his level, and neither should he be at his age. As someone succinctly put on Twitter, beating up a field of pro conti riders in a one day race in the UK with no radio isn't much of a tell for being able to win sprints in the tour. It is very very different. That said, they have got a proper ste team really, I'd have taken Remco at the very least.

I don’t. The JV line up looks pretty formidable to me. The guy who finished second on GC last year and two others who picked up four stage wins between them in 2021, across the mountains, sprints and TTs. And Laporte has been on fire this year. And they will all be riding in support of Roglic.
Pogacar’s greatest threat comes from the strength in depth of the JV team.
Already lost a lot of time thinking about this!! Always just one or two points short of just what you want to select.
Stages 1-6 requires certain selection and then 7-18 is virtually all GC, Mountain, breakaway team, before thinking about sprint / TT again for final 3 stages (whilst mindful of GC points). Will need to use credits wisely.
Think a fantasy form guide would read ‘Team ‘Ds-jsy’ gunning for another PH podium place, hopes for yellow jersey if they can cut out the silly mistakes from last two years’.
LM Classic this weekend so will need to keep my eye on the ball for the early stages. Bit gutted likely missing Tour courage.
