Whilst doing my weekly peruse of what's available at one of my local specialists, this came up.
I am not normally one for older cars but this reminds me of what I used to gawp and lust out the car window as a young kid. If I had a spare lump of dosh I would have it for sure.

I used to have one just like that 16 years ago (same spec, red, black leather interior). Looked immaculate but it was starting to get unreliable due to starship milage so I traded it in.

I usually cannot stand red cars, I suppose being a child of the 80s every car on the street when I was a kid was red.
But it does suit an 80s BMW (okay, I know this one is technically 1990).
Saloon shape would be useless for carrying bikes though, did they make a 535i Wagon?
I think so - pre-diesel era more or less every combination of powertrain/body was available except for M cars. But it does suit an 80s BMW (okay, I know this one is technically 1990).

I think they phased out the big six before the Touring model was introduced. In the touring you could have a three or four litre, both V8s, or the new two or two and a half litre 24v straight six. Edited by HustleRussell on Wednesday 16th June 18:20
