Can't wait to ride it properly!!!
Don't be so sure. I bought a Dogma 3 yrs ago and thought the same, but with the aim to up my game to match the bike.

I have, have since upgraded almost everything bar the frame....and now looking at upgrading that. What you need is in your hands..... wink

My Supersix Ultegra is more bike than I could ever justify but on long rides it so rewarding and fun. Who cares about pelatons, KOM etc.
Cheers guys, certainly aiming to get the best out of it this year smile

Never ridden one. Wouldn't mind having a shot tbh. If it means I can ride more trails then that can't be a bad thing. What does the added weight feel like on the descents though?

It wasn't you that shot past me at Minley on Sunday evening, was it?

I was riding a few laps of the Brass Monkeys race route when this chap caught me far too easily. Green bike, with a series of LED lights on the left side of the downtube. I was well annoyed with myself for being far too slow after he caught me so easily, but I calmed down a bit when I saw the little LED lights (presumably some sort of battery indicator).

I'n not bothered either way about e-bikes. For some riders they're essential to keeping them riding into their 70s and even 80s. But young, fit lads really ought to be providing ALL of the motive power on the trails while they can. Ultimately, it leads to quite a bit of squabbling on Strava, etc, when KOMs are "stolen" by "cheats", but if e-bikes get more people out riding who otherwise wouldn't bother, then they have to be a positive thing really.

Managed to get a great deal on an ex-demo 2017 Banshee Prime frame and managed to transfer almost all of the parts form my old bike over.

Where you an ARRC Royal Marine in a previous life? That "Norway Camo" is fabulous!

Not in the marines, but influence taken from pre production test cars. This was a vinyl car wrap.

That looks amazing.
Would never get away with it on a road bike though.

This is a "Show off your bike" thread and yet you seem to have posted a picture without a bike in it. Please read rules before posting. Thx.

My new Wilier GTR endurance 105.
Lovely bike and a lot of decent spec for the money.
Obligatory on the cooker pic:

My B'Twin 540 arrived on Friday evening, along with a Kickr Snap trainer, and it's all setup in the pain cave (or spare room as the wife knows it):

Did a 12km ride on Zwift, and I was cream-crackered afterwards! It's the first time I've ridden a bike since I was kid and had a 10-speed racer! A few exercise bike sessions don't really count.

I've only just got back into running again over the past few weeks (also with Zwift), so my general fitness levels are quite rubbish at the moment, but I am finding that Zwift is giving me the motivation to go that bit further in my sessions.

Still need to do an FTP test, but from what I've read, they're not a great deal of fun.

Great choice for a first bike.

I wouldn't worry about an FTP test for a while, just enjoy getting back into riding for a bit. Challenge yourself to do a bit more every time, and when the weather gets a bit better, try the outside too!

+1

FTP tests are great to map performance, but without wishing to be unkind, if you are knackered after 12km, you need to get to be able to ride for an hour at a decent pace before it's realistically worth setting a benchmark FTP.

Use the Zwift training workouts, they are great. The 12wk FTP builder is a good starting point.

I swear by Zwift (and a KICKR), it's been the making of my cycling. Thanks to it, my FTP went from 190w to 300w over 6 months last year.
