Picked this up from my lbs this week and I'm very impressed with it. Just back from a 30 mile ride and it's head and shoulders above my old Carrera Crossfire 2

New toy - unfortunately I dont get to play with it till tuesday.
$505NZ which is £252 for those who think things are expensive in UK
In my mind however I saved money by buying it now rather than getting another Sigma and then buying a Garmin later.

Went on a ride today and my mate had a slow puncture. I went into the bike shop as i needed a pump anyway to keep in my pocket/handy that could do both Presta and Schrader valve types and came awya with what must be one of the nicest looking and well built mini pumps i have ever seen!

Feels a bit labored for doing a road wheel with, but if you have a slow or a spare tube it gets the job done untill you can get somewhere with a track pump. It does go up to about 100psi but you really have to force it in, although its not too bad. it has a one way valve too, so you dont get any pressure kick back.

For mountain bikes though its perfect, it can take a little while because the stroke and barrel capacity isn't very big, but at only 10cm in length and under 60g you really cant complain too much.

It is beautifully made though!

and looking online, it seems i got it at a good price of £14, i was expecting a usual £5+ inflation(fnar fnar)!

Oh god. Oh god oh god oh god...I need those shoes!

EDIT: Forgot to add. Today, I mostly be acquiring a Kask Vertigo helmet. A definite improvement on my Giro Ionos...

well iv done a few trips with my suspension seatpost and had a fiddle with the preload and im delighted with the results.
iv set it quite stiff so it only moves on the harder bumps and the first thing iv noticed is an increase in speed over rough terrain. commutting is easyer as the times i would have to lift my ass of the saddle thus loosing peddaling rythme are now non existant and i can keep powering on.

for 35 quid its the best bang for buck purchase iv made for the bike.

If you've found this for less than £165, I'd be very interested please smile Don't get on with Giro at all (wrong shape) and the Met Sine Thesis looks huge (on Tiernan-Locke's head anyway) so I may well be trying a Kask at some point.

My boss has a new Kask, but I think it's a Mojito, certainly one of the cheaper ones. He likes it apart from that it's very loud...

Just fitted my new Spank Spike bars and Superstar grips, I'm not poncy about colour coordinating at all. smile

Only problem when fitting was that I managed to shear one of the bolts holding my front brake on, so that needs repairing now. Seems to be holding for now with just one bolt, but I'm sure that won't last too long.

I get the impression that Kask fix their prices very well

My local LBS I got a Mojito for £100. Looked online, it's £100 everywhere. They sell the Vertigo for £165 too, so I imagine it's true elsewhere judging by the above chap's question.

I like my Mojito, however I'm struggling a little to find some glasses that fit well with it - if the arms a little too long, they sturggle to mate with the mechanism at the back of the helmet.
