im not doubting bitburg but you would expect the grip at pod to be greater, although it will be rwyb conditions with lots of treaded tyres not helping it.
But hey thats part of the fun, tune your car to the track your given, worst case he can do the test n tune day on sunday.
looking forward to this wkend muchly!!

unfortunalty the traction wasn't there for Mario on saturday, he could only manage a 11.00 spinning the tyres through the gears.
he did plan to do the test and tune today but just before he signed on the rain came and he had to leave for the ferry.
Mario will come back again next year possibly race at bug jam on a fully prepped track, and bring more cars for VW Action too.

I believe there are a lot of racers that do not consider their staging to be of importance. I seem to remember one Pro class category car deepstaging during qualifying at the Main Event...
So you assume thats cause they dont take staging seriously???dangerous assupmtion.... and the advantages of deep staging a pro class car is exactly???
if your cutting lights in the 0.0something range as most guys can and do there usnt much wrong with your staging process is there, and of cource youv sat on the startline with better than a thousand hp trying to drag you across the line as the clutch cf hits and trieds to throw your foot off the clutch when you go to launch rpm havent you ??? 99 % of "pro" cars use clutches and leave at well over 5,500 rpm,in that case if you was deep staged and the car lurched your done......

Graham, what I was trying to point out was that most vehicles should be shallow staging during qualifying in order to get lower ETs. Sorry that I did not make myself clear.dangerous assupmtion.... and the advantages of deep staging a pro class car is exactly???

agreed and i know but with a clutch car it is realy a gamble you go on the chip clutch grabs and the car moves and the run is ruined, a red after the tree is run is ok the time stands, but if the car moves when you go on the chip your done and the time wont count,
its ok in transbraked cars they almost cant move untill the button/pedal is released (yes i know some slip befour anyone brings it up)
if they slip its a fault and thats the owners problem to rectify
but the clutch deal is totaly different,
dont you lot dare bring up Top Fuel......

Slightly O/T because it´s 4WD,but it´s another Boba-tuned monster Golf in sheeps clothing :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&...
The driver called "16Vampire" did a fantastic 9.08 / 146 mph with new sequential shifting,
and looks like he will hit the 8s on the next event.
Boba himself probably won´t hit the strip this year due to work issues, but is active in the co-pilot´s seat
programming the ecu on the autobahn, the 4WD is street-legal and does 62-124 in 3,8 secs.

Boba's car is awesome, been following him since he was in the FWD Polo, and have tried and tried to get him to come Santa Pod to race but nothing yet, Cannot offer him much more, (ferry paid, free entry, free track time and about a 95% chance of taking home up £500 for the hastle.) Not even in competition so can still wear his bloody boiler suit lol
Another car to 4wd car to watch is Jezij Chmelevskij and his 8.99sec Corrado would be great to see these two race together
