Must agree with Phil, they truly are spectacular. Anyone know why 'Havoc' didn't run on the Sunday at Santa Pod? I was really looking forward to that. Is a shame that theres not many people running them nowdays. I,m afraid I,m old enough to remember them the first time around!!!

Anyway, as to the question, spectator although I must get along to a RWYB with the Corvette and give it a go

A rod decided to part company in the engine and put a hole in the block during Thursday, thus why he didn't run the rest of the weekend.

Thats a bummer. Is it true that 'Havoc' is being mothballed? That really would be a shame.

I believe its only being mothballed whilst the boys out together a "nostalgia" type funny car, for a new class, that I think is due out next year.

Im sure Havoc will be out again soon tho.

According to http://eurodragster.com/news/news.asp they are mothballing the car to concentrate on building Havoc II - a nostalgia funny car due to debut in 2008.

get yourself along to the Hot Rod Drags at Shakespere County Raceway this weekend for a field of 8-10 fuel altereds!
failing that should be a similar number at the National Finals at Santa Pod 30th September - 1st October

Hi,

I am new, I used to read and write on the Dragsterworld Fans Forum (which I really miss). I am orginally from England but have lived in Germany sind 1976.

I am from a racing family, my dad (Roy Morris) raced at Santa Pod in the late 60´s and early 70´s and my brother (Tony "Chunky" Morris) later started racing in germany in 1980 and raced in Santa Pod and Long Marston between 1984 and 1991 until he went to the states to start racing in Florida.

After my family had lived in the states for a couple of years I started to miss drag racing, so I got myself a job at the NitrOlympX in Hockenheim (that´s me on the left).
A lot of you racers should know me from the raceoffice where I do the credentials for the higher classes.

Frustrated wannabe racer - too scared to kill my car to race it so instead I sponsor the Outlaw Anglia's in their "Burnout Bonanza". A burnout competition held at the start of the 2nd round of their qualifying. Love it!
