New to the forum guys but not Honda.. Currently own an EP3 face lift model and seriously looking to get the new typeR ... Test drove the beast a few month ago and it made me buzz ... some have said the turbo lags to kick in but I thought it was rapid , just looking for opinions and if anyone else either has one or has test drove one?? cheers .. Do bear in mind that once you have got used to the car and the initial buzz has worn off, that it won't be a responsive as your NA Type R. It will have bags more mid range due to the huge torque difference, but it's that initial instant throttle response that I love.

The FK2 is a different animal though, it's almost impossible to compare to other type R's

Not much lag as far as I'm concerned, boost comes around 2700 revs, max boost at 4,000 (20 psi) then drops off at redline.

Ive owned mine 4 months now, it's an absolute monster, yet still practical enough for every day use and casual driving.

Only issue I have personally is the alloys, they're so easily scuffed. The outer lip of the alloy protrudes beyond the sidewalls of the factory conti tyres; meaning they're incredibly easy to ruin.

I've driven a few now.

I think they are very laggy in terms of throttle response - even with R+ engaged there's too much lag. However, an intake, exhaust and remap would address this and I think it would be an absolute beast. I intend to buy once they drop below £20k.
