I'm thinking of getting an Integra as a daily driver. My budget is £7/£8K so it's going to be a bit leggy

Ignoring fuel and tyres what are these like to run cost-wise? I'm going to be looking at a 75K mileage or so. Are there any particular expenses due at that mileage?

I really like the look of the Integra or would I be better off with a Civic Type R?

major service is due at 75k on the DC5, thats around £500 so either make sure it's done or budget for it.

The teg will hold it's value better than a civic type R, and also benefits from the 217bhp over lower uk bhp figure...plus it has an LSD and supposedly better steering feel.

In short, buy an integra...bloody love mine.

£8/8.5k should buy a decent one, check out the integra type r owners facebook group, i know a couple are up for sale/coming up shortly.

As most people will tell you, it's service history and condition that's more important than mileage. I've done 130k in mine and it hasn't missed a beat. Having driven an EP3 I would say the DC5 is definitely an upgrade. It looks better, better steering due to it being hydraulic and not electric and as designforlife said it will hold it's money better.

Just take it to one of the specialists depending on where you live which will definitely cheaper than main dealer prices.

The owners website is definitely worth joining up to, there's plenty of people on there with fantastic knowledge of the car's and i should think you will find out the answers to any questions you might have. It also has a for sale section where you will find some very well cared for DC5's.

DC5 looks far nicer than the EP3 as well biggrin
