Mk8 Civic Door handle failure - Stuck shut

I had this problem before, it was caused by me locking the car at the same time that i grabbed the handle. It set the pins out of sync or something.
It was resolved by honda FOC as the technician did a series of locks/unlocks whilst pulling the handle and it popped back into place.
After taking my door card off today to fix a rattle, i was struggling to put it back in place and had to go out, so tried to shut the door with the door card out of place. This caused the handle to do the same thing as before.
I (Stupidly) spent some time putting the door card back on properly as i was convinced id be able to replicate what honda did to unlock the handles again. I shut the door. Now im stuck, I cant get it to work at all no matter what i do, I also noticed my door doesnt seem to be entirely flush vs. the rear door and wonder if this is related or something i just hadn't noticed before.
Has anyone got any advice for getting the handle working again.
I've uploaded a video to show how the handle is dead vs the passenger side. It has no resistance. The inside one does, but isn't doing enough to open the door.
