i shift harsh changing of gears

hi i have a 56 1.8 i shift (semi auto) civic and when changing gears it isn't smooth at all...
i have only had the car a few weeks and think maybe needs a gear box service!

has anybody experienced this at all and if so is it a just live with it scenario...or can it be rectified...

There are plenty of software updates for the i-shift gearbox, I'm guessing only a Honda dealer will be able to establish / update it.

They are very slow, when I used to work at a Honda dealership we called the " I st*
you can help it by lifting off the throttle when you feel the gear change.

They are a seriously flawed gearbox's, plenty of people get used to it though...
