I have a little used but always garaged Honda CRX VTI with electric roof, owned from new, recent MOT, 50500 miles and still driving well. Original except for modern alarm and radio/CD unit. I need the garage space and given the lack of yearly miles have decided to sell it. It needs a little TLC with the bodywork around the rear wheel arches and there's some underbody corrosion but otherwise in good condition and the engine is sweet. I'll advertise it on PH but what price should I ask?

Unfortunately theres not a huge market for Del Sol's, although that does look cleaner than the usual that are for sale and low miles.

Shame about the rust, 90's honda's know it all too well, I think it should sell without too much an issue but don't expect a fortune unfortunately, I think you'd be lucky to see 2k or close too it.

Hard to put a price on really. Not the best time of year to sell that type of car either.

Most of them will need rear arches sorting if not already done so I wouldn't be too quick to let it go for peanuts. One owner, low mileage cars like this don't come up for sale often. Unless you need to sell it quickly I'd probably start at around £3k.

Not sure how I missed this! Cool car, I had a JDM VXI with a B18C4 fitted, loved it.

Unfortunately there’s not a massive love for these in the Honda scene, I’d have another in a heartbeat!

I think as the poster above said, you could try £3k, I really don’t know if you’ll get it. I saw a JDM car locally that had a B16 fitted and it went for £750!!

These cars are so unloved because Honda messed with the CRX - the previous versions were and are excellent little sporty cars - this version was trying to compete with the MRS & MX5, rather than being a CRX. The later S2000 was what the Del Sol was trying to be, and falling short.
That said, a good, tidy example will find a niche market if the roof works properly.
