In the not too distant future, I'm going to have to consolidate 2 cars into one, currently running a 2004 Honda Jazz, and a Vauxhall VX220 Turbo. I've been looking for a sensible everyday car that I can fit a mountain bike in the back of, but that will still be fun and interesting to own and drive.

I like the Jazz, so am drawn to an FN2 Type-R, but was wondering what the best specialist forum might be, so I can start my research?

Civinfo is the FN2 forum I think. Don’t know how popular it is anymore.

Type-r-owners has some good information, although not particularly active these days.
