Should I buy an NSX

Unfortunately it has to go back to one of two official NSX dealers , both in London !!
They do however come and pick it up in a lorry for you :-)
Am I reading that correctly? There are only two dealers in the whole of the U.K. who can service NSX’s, and they are both in London? They do however come and pick it up in a lorry for you :-)

I'd have thought Honda UK would have nominated a dealership in the north (Manchester perhaps?) to spread things out a bit.
That’s my thinking too. It seems crazy that they’re both in London but, then again, if they pick the car up and deliver in a timely fashion I guess the difference to having a local(ish) dealer will be negligible hopefully.

You're assuming a lot there. Honda dealerships are a very mixed bag...It seems crazy that they’re both in London but, then again, if they pick the car up and deliver in a timely fashion I guess the difference to having a local(ish) dealer will be negligible hopefully.
...and what happens when the car is out of warranty*? Not an issue to HUK, they may think...but probably IS an issue to buyers...they'll have an eye on resale, and if they spot something that may affect 2nd hand demand/price then that could lead them to safer badges...
I think it's that HUK didn't have a clue what to do with the car and decided to do as little as possible. They're far happier now selling CRV's and Jazz's to pensioners that don't notice if something's not 100%...heard more than once that being a Honda dealer is not a happy place to be right now...
* or if there's a little niggle that you want advice on, but you're not certain is a problem to be fixed...are you going to want to call out a flatbed and driver 200 miles to your car? Are the dealership going to want to send one?!? And what if it's an intermittent fault, such as an electrical short...are the dealership going to keep collecting the car if they don't find it first time around?

I did actually have a deposit down on a Mclaren LT, but cancelled due to the disgusting customer service, hence why I am now looking at an NSX.
Have considered a Porsche, but to many around, I want something a little bit left field.
That's interesting - given McLaren are sort of "small time" when it comes to supercars, I would have thought they would be working hard to gain customer loyalty right from the get-go. What were the nature of your experiences with them?Have considered a Porsche, but to many around, I want something a little bit left field.
I can only speak for myself when it comes to Honda customer service, and at that I can only speak in terms of persueing replacement parts for faulty genuine spares for my Honda civic, but I must say I have found them to be quite accommodating and understanding. I recently bought a (used, but still within manufacture warranty) honda civic with the infoainment system, which I find pretty ok to use - however, my only other infotainment experience was a vauxhall astra (hire care form insurance! wouldnt dare spend money on owning one) and it was truely terrible!
On the subject of Honda dealers - my local is the one down the A10 near Enfield, are they really not that good? Where is a good Honda dealership?
Absolutely lovely NSX, I hope to catch sight of it out on the roads of Hertfordshire.

To be fair, the Sales guy who I dealt with has now gone. They didnt give reasons, but they intimated that he was pissing customers off, which he certainly did to me.
Might be in the market for one in 12 months time, so will give them another go.
So far, I cant fault Chiswick Honda, far superior customer service than I had from Maclaran, and better than the so called high end german brands.
Done nearly 2k miles in the Honda so far, and as previous reviews have said, the more you drive the car, the more you fall in love with it. It might not be as exotic as some other cars, it might not look as good as some other cars, but I dont feel you can put it in any other bracket of cars, it just sits out there on its own being itself.
Its great for going out for winter spins as well. Put a couple of freshly cooked bacon rolls in the boot, and they are still baking hot when you stop for your first tea break :-) :-)

That Doug Demuro bloke on youtube has a good video about the NSX. I like them, but then I really like most Honda's (I'm not the biggest fan of their motorcycles, with the exception of the early CBR1000RR's, the NC30 / RC30 / NC35 / RC45, the SP1 / SP2 and the current RCV road bike). Might be in the market for one in 12 months time, so will give them another go.
