Difference in values between JDM and UK registered NSX NA1

Hi - my all time bucketlist #1 is the NSX (you can keep your italian and german things!).
I am rapidly talking myself into buying a particular imported NSX, but wonder - is there any general rule of thumb, or guidance on the difference in values between an imported, and UK registered car?
Differences I can work out are:

- Spec (arguably preferable in the JDM car; quicker gear ratios cleaner look with rear bumper and no headlight washers)
- Less history, typically (although this car has been in the UK since 2003, with good history for past 10 years)
- More insurance (exactly how much I will find out tonight)
Any views here?
There used to be a prejudice against jap imports, reflected in values but if anything that’s now reversed (in S2000 world at least). That said, it’s not a recent import; plenty of exposure to UK weather. In practice I expect it all comes down to condition and history and imported or not probably makes no difference to value now.

Well, i bought it anyway 
The red 1993 at Race Retro Silverstone Auctions. 93k miles,decent history from 2013 onwards (owner before that was Simon Phillips, multiple Le Mans entrant and BRDC member, who passed away sadly in 2013; looks like the paperwork went with him). But car has been in the UK since 2003, and in recent years has has belts and brakes done for decent money at Plans Performance.
£34,500 once all fees added.. got it for 30k at the hammer, but for a fleeting moment thought i might sneak it at 28. Very exited - that's it: all time number 1 most desired car

On the gear ratios - looks like consensus is faster to 70, but slower after 100. Considering it won't be a track car and have no plans to disrupt a clean license, that'll do for me.

yep a manual, and yes a good price - just think a reflection of it being auction, and a generally deflated market. Similar car at plans performance (86k miles not 93k) is up for 49k..designforlife said:
I would go JDM over UKDM for a Japanese car every time... it's the purest representation of the model, and almost always a better spec, and less rusty.
.... no rust on one of these though! All aluminium. Holy moly you got a good deal on that! Red with the gun metal wheels is a great combo.

Thanks all - to say well chuffed is an understatement. Driving impressions to follow ... despite being the #1 most desired car for many years, never been in one moving let alone driven one before! In fact first time sitting in one was when then auctioneer let me have a poke around late friday evening
And yes i think Type S probably the ultimate; type Rs get the headlines but wonder if just too stuff ti be realistically enjoyable ( but again, only based on what i’ve read..)

Picked it up to day from the storage place in Northampton. Also in Northampton is the amazing Workshopseventy7, where my 560 SEC gansterwagon was driven up to be lowered on air ride suspension . Driving up in the SEC and back in the NSX was quite the contrast....
Initial impressions are I absolutely love this thing. Properly analogue - no PAS, beautiful manual gearbox, but also easy to drive (lack of PAS aside); everything is exactly where you expect it to be, driving position is perfect, and clutch is very light.
Roads were horrible and greasy so didnt go to 8,000rpm too often, but was pleasantly suprised that it doesn't feel like a 27 year old 1400kg 270bhp car - feels much faster. And the noise... modified exhaust has been identified as an American Pride V2, which according to the internet gives the greatest noise you can get out of one of these - and... I very much believe that. Sounds like a 50s/60s 6 cylinder GT racar at lower RPM (think DB4s or C types at Goodwood), and then noise hardens to a wail - incredible.
Downsides are no heat out of the air con, and then... no air con. It stopped working. Looks like a common problem, and needs a decent electrical engineer to remove and replace leaking capacitors. Catestrophic misting problem solved by opening window - not idea in the cold! All part of the fun though - and if that's the only issue other than not being able to remove the bloody windscreen wipers, then I'll take it....

Thanks - have heard good things about them as a main dealer for NSXs. Although at the moment my CCU is with that well known chap in the NSX community who knows All Things about the car, so looks like it's in safe hands...Then I'm biased...
