Welcome! You won't regret it. These actually handle the bends pretty well. Rather than sticking at 30 I'd be tearing up the B roads and embarrassing drivers of perceived higher quality machines. I used to do that in my wife's old MK1 Yaris and never tired of it.
It's actually much better than I expected. When I was looking for a car to replace an ailing Forester the Jazz was the 'joke' option and when one came up I thought I'd give it a go. In 3,000 odd miles it's averaged 51mpg and has performed faultlessly. Trying to get the front end to break away has been challenging as it seems to have a surprising amount of grip and the Ivy-Tech (not quite Yo!) seems to work when needed although it's never going to trouble a Type-R or an S-2000. And I have the added enjoyment of frustrating people who must travel over 30 
Sure, I'd love another MX-5 (boo hiss I hear you say) but I've been pleasantly surprised with how competent it really is.

Yep, people always think Honda is the boring option, but they get the important bits right which makes them so easy to live with. They always handle, steer and brake well too, even the 'granny-spec' models. Bought my first Honda (EP3 Civic Type R) back in 2003 and have always had a Honda in the family ever since. Sure, I'd love another MX-5 (boo hiss I hear you say) but I've been pleasantly surprised with how competent it really is.

Never drive either an SF or SG Subaru Forester then. The steering on the Jazz feels very heavy by comparison. Of all the gripes I had with the Subaru, the unbelievably light steering was the main one. Of all the gripes I have with the Jazz, only two really piss me off. Jazz is a very practical car and was reliable. Apart from the overlight steering, I enjoyed driving it.
The unnecessary 'bongs' when you:
- Turn the key in the ignition with the door open
- Start the engine without putting on the drivers seat belt
- Leave the key in the ignition with the lights on
- And one other I can't recall. (It'll come back to me and I'll edit this post)

We've owned 3 Jazzs, all 1.4 manual.
The first I bought new at launch in 2002 kwpt for 2.5 years and 66Kmiles. Second was a Mk2 which I only kept a few months and changed for a Jag XFS and the third was a Mk1 that was 10 years old for 'er indoors after we had to get rid of her 18yr old 200K mile Audi. A4 We kept that Jazz for 7 years and only sold it as she wanted an upgrade. Ended up with a 1.6 diesel Civic Tourer.
I loved chucking the Jazzs around and driving them like they were stolen.
The are hugely reliable and practical cars and would be brilliant with just a few more horses under the bonnet. I'd love to try the 1.5 and better still with a turbo strapped on to it.

Are you sure about that Whistle?, that car you posted is a 16i - 16v non vtec, the next 'newer faster one' was a VT, then the Del Sol VTi after that, there was never a Vvti CRX.
Sorry yes it s a long time ago, 1992 if I remember .
Yes I had the one in the photo 1.6 16v and then the one with the vtec engine after that, not the del sol one.

I had a Del Sol with a B18C4 fitted, it was great.
