I am still pining after an original shape black-gun metal NSX perhaps next year.
However I would like to increase the power to a good level of stupid fun, good for tracking perhaps.

The main thing is I am no mechanic, so I would like to just hand the car over to a tuner and say -
'please sir, MORE POWER !'

Who in the south, would be a good tuner to visit ?

What sort of price range are we talking for something like this - at a pure educated guess.

edit:
This would need to include uprated brakes and any suspension, handling addons and adjustments.

N/A:

Toda 3.5l stroker kit plus fitting & tuning & uprated transmission etc, could get you up to about 500bhp as per the JGTC cars.

Plucking a number out of the air, I'd say about £30,000.

F/I:

Comptech Supercharger, plus fitting/ tuning and all uprated bits, about 400bhp. I don't reckon you'd get much change out of £20,000.

The prices are guesses, but it wouldn't be cheap.

Are you looking for a sprint car or one that can handle very well on track? I am sure trackdemon will be along soon to extol the virtues of the NSX on track in standard guise.

I would really be looking for real world speed, so perhaps a 500Bhp is a bit stupid !

Ah well I didnt realise 20k plus would be in order, hehe.

So yes a track biased car would be much prefered rather than a quater mile monster.

Nice one !

Well an NSX for me wont be for around a year plus, my next car come april will be some kind of BEC.
However I'm doing some ground work first.
Perhaps an imported tuned one from japan may also be worth considering.

Unless it is a type R or S is not worth it.

Suspension and brakes alone will be close to £ 6K to do it right.

Supercharger £ 8K

AEM, injectors and tuning £ 2K

Headers, exhaust, intake £ 4 K

Gearbox at least £ 2K

LSD £ 1.5K

So as it was said before it is in the region of £ 20K

IMHO if you want mega power go for something else, unless you have very deep pockets.

Cheers,
