Hi Tim... This is Delmatt's mum here. I am sorry he keeps winding people up on forums. Don't worry I will be limiting his access to all computers from now on. I am sending him to bed now(without his dinner I might add)

Prat!

Do you think that the chap who hit the landing light should get a credit or would that be immoral too?

There is no need to resort to insults of that nature. I was trying to lighten the mood with my last post, I thought it was slightly amusing anyway, I kind of regret what I first said. However, I am not going to answer your question and make a moral judgement on the GT3 driver and its not really relevant. If someone called you a prat would you feel they were worth having any further dialogue with? With that in mind I am officially not talking to you now! or ever again for that matter as we obviously dont get on

Was a real shame that the day got cancelled. The weather was great and there were lots of great cars lined up. I only managed a couple of warm up laps before the red flags were shown.

At least no one was hurt that's the main thing.

I was eyeing up the GT3 and planning on asking you for a passenger ride later on in the day. One of my favourite cars.

Credit to the organisers for offering a token back to us. They weren't obliged to do so, so it was much appreciated.

Hopefully the base will allow MSE to use the venue once again in the near future..

Not me, but there will be some shots of the websites as of Wednesday I think - I'll post the addresses up when I can find them!

Unfortunately, as the base had an incident last year involving a piece of runway furniture, the future does not look rosy. I hope they can come to some arrangement, but I think it may be the end. Such a shame, and I feel for MSE as they put in a lot of hard work this year and last to get the event. But you never know, I change of upper management is all it takes sometimes.

When is the CO lightly to rotate out? Would it help if I knew high-end officers (including an ex-chief of air staff)?

To be more diplomatic.... after a no coffee or biscuits meeting, and after the stunning track that MSE laid out, would a smaller, vetted/vouched for group be allowed back?

Some say......a German motorcar not dissimilar to the one involved was seen acting like a prat as it entered the M3 around the time the event shut down so maybe it's not so much a case if "st happens" after all.......

Apparently one of the problems MSE have now is that income from these days no longer goes directly to the base but into some large central pot, so there's much less incentive for the base commanders to take the days on. It's a great shame as we lost Colerne after 2011 (I think) and that was a cracking layout.

Was that not due to the surface change?

Yes, I think so, but the issue is that there's much less incentive for the bases to agree to rent out the facility so Ed and Tash have to work extra hard to secure the arrangements, and if things go wrong the bases are more likely to say no to future events.

You are welcome to one next time, l love sharing it with other enthusiasts.
I will hopefully be at some more MSE events soon, but might not be letting anyone else in the drivers seat next time!
