Insurance for driving to/from trackday

That'll probably end up being quite expensive if you do more than a couple of days a year, if you do it's worth looking for an annual policy with a company that covers a few days a year along with the main policy and see how the costs stack up.
Annual policy with track day cover, then cancel after first payment if you change your mind about keeping the car or take it off the road to mod it. Just select the option to do monthly payments on the policy...simplesNo penalty for cancelling an insurance policy early as far as I know.
