Taking my MR2 Turbo on its 1st trackday at Bedford anyone else going that day?

I'm considering it - I've got the day off work so seems like a good way to spend it. I've never done Bedford before, not sure how I feel about the whole airfield vs "proper" circuit thing!

Bedford was an airfield indeed but can hardly be compared to a conventional airfield type venue.

Smooth tarmac with huge run-offs is kind of the best of both worlds although it's very flat and featureless as a consequence.

Good variety of corners and low density of traffic is also a plus.

Hard on brakes though...

Sounds good Nick, as I said, never been there so was a bit unsure. Track map certainly looks pretty cool and reassuring to have some positive feedback on the venue, I'll get myself signed up!

As above, it has little in common with true airfield venues. Safe and lots of space, if flat and featureless.

Likewise - a really well run day on a really good circuit. Probably the most sociable track day I've been on in a long while too. Car ran really well (black megane) - probably coped better with the heat than I did!

Certainly was a very hot day, car and myself coped very well apart from the one spin.
Hats off to MSV for a very well run day, just want to do more track days now
