Just the shell.

I like a challenge!!

Seriously though... I have no idea where I'd find the specialist parts to put this back together the way it shoud be. Such as engine, gearbox, suspension, hubs etc etc.
I guess you might find some stuff on racecarsdirect? Apologies if you were already aware of the existence of that site.

I've just saved this one from the squasher!

I've had my eye on it for many years, and now finally have my hands on it. No V2005-015

It would be great to have a look around yours sometime... clearly I'll need all the help I can get to resurrect it!!

Fantastic purchase just wait for me to crash mine then I sell you all the parts....won't be long!

Seriously though getting it back to BTCC spec is going to be hugely costly and challenging. The earlier coupe parts are mostly interchangable with yours but finding parts is going to be difficult. Speak to Tony at touring car spares (google it he has a website and facebook page), he'll put you on the right track if it's possible.

Me - I'd run it as serious track tool using as much oem / aftermarket stuff as possible. You'll still need to adapt some part to interface with the shell but with no race reg limitations it will be quicker, cheaper and more doable.

Good luck!!!!

Very cool, 22B. Shame you didn’t buy it at exactly this time last year - I had a crash damaged SRi Turbo 200 that had a perfect Z20LER engine and M32 gearbox that you could’ve had for free

Always the way! Luckily there's plenty of other donor cars available, so lots of options.

Thank you.

Tony only has wheels I think.

Another chap contacted me via a post about the car on my business facebook page, about lots of Coupe parts in a container, so maybe thats worth investigating if some are interchangable. (facebook edmracing) Quite a few guys from 888 who know of our cars have also commented, which helps piece the history back together.

Lots of research still to do, but its been interesting so far.

I think you're right, putting it back together with more readily available parts would be sensible. As long as its within the original spirit of the car, and looks something like... I think it'll be fine.

I would like to race it. That brings its own challenges as the roll cage tube is not to MSUK specification. Its built with 40mm & 50mm tube, so I'll need to try and find the FIA or TOCA paperwork to back up the construction & design.

It will live again!
