Hi all
I'm looking for a trackday car thats also road legal for blasts on a Sunday.
I have some very fast sports bikes, so want something that will be a bit swift, but that the other half will get in!
Currently thinking an Aerial Atom but i notice there are lots of options of less well known cars that are similar.
I'd appreciate your thoughts
Thanks
Mark

At that budget I'd try and find myself the best R400 Caterham I could smile

For that budget i'd be looking here - http://uk.radicalsportscars.com/approvedused/

Edit - You want it to be road legal so i'd be looking for a caterham R300 or similar.

I'd be looking at Caterham or an Ariel Nomad. (Or a Morgan 3 wheeler and stick to tracking the bike.)

If you bought an Elise chances are you'd use it more often despite, or because of, it not being as track focused as the other suggestions.

I'd go for the Ariel Nomad. Drive on road, drive on track. Drive on off-road track.

I'd go for a Caterham and not discount Westfields etc. Budget £15-18K and spend the rest on tyres and a trailer. The other bit of advice I'd give is don 't get too caught up with power, you'll find that in and out of the corners you'll be carrying so much more speed than most other things you wont care!

An Elise is a more usable alternative and they can be tweaked and made very handy. Either option will put a huge smile on your face.

Incredible work... makes my post count seem shameful.

Track car with a 27k budget. What a nice dilemma to have! In my unqualified opinion Caterham will be best BANG for buck
