Anyone else?
I'm driving past with the family in the camper van - wife says I'm not allowed to take said van on track - don't suppose you'd fancy a passenger for a lap?

Am looking to go for a weekend in October. Is it feasible or am I better waiting till spring next year?

Might take the mini out on Friday. If not I'll just wait till Monday and Tuesday as I'll be taking part in a trackday.

Quite a decent vlog about the DN/Ringmeisters days over August Bank Holiday on Misha Charoudin's YouTube channel. The title of the video sums it up; "you get what you pay for".

Indeed however that double header was £1900 whereas the Sep double was £1200 before returning customer discount, fair enough there are 30-40 more spaces ...DN events always well run though and v high driving standards so well worth the cash. If you squeeze in 40 laps over the two days which is doable if not many stoppages it doesn’t work out to much more than what you’d pay per TF lap ...and it’s such a much better quality experience!

Yes. Several cars from Scotland all being well.

Regarding cost mentioned above: I dont do TF as the risks to myself, other users and track are too high for me to underwrite so with the likes of DN track days I reduce those risks. The ability to gain extra track time and high quality track conditions is a bonus.

If its a case of getting a couple of laps in and going to the pub TF is fine but if you want to learn the track and improve the way you get around it even an expensive track day has a real value to it.

Yes

My cost per lap this year at DN19 and RM2018 has been totally insane

But I'm hoping my reliability issues will be resolved for DN20

In my defence I probably have the oldest car with the highest mileage of anything at a DN event

Thanks for pointer to vlog explaining costs. I should have probably made it clearer that when I mentioned cost it wasn't as a criticism of the DN/Ringmeister pricing. It is simply hard for me to afford / justify spending what would be close to £2.5K for a weekend away 'playing cars' as my Mrs puts it. Having looked into it a little more though, it's certainly something I may aim for in the next year or so. I just need to work harder and save more to make it possible! smile
