Spending £k's to hire a car and do a few laps is way out of my league.

I just bought a Renault, put new tyres and brakes on it, paid for 7 laps at 30euros each and that was that. Still have the Renault.

Renting a car seems a bit of a pricey way to do things.

The Apex 7 Up is €80 per lap inclusive.

Obviously insurance excesses apply should the worst happen.

Indeed - I make a point of ignoring his half-views. He either said too much or not enough but I appreciate he is essentially here to drum up business.

OP, I have done many TF events but on balance I'd probably not do it again as track days there are so much better to enjoy the track IME.
